Yoga For Self-Discovery - Is Happiness a Formula?

Can Yoga reveal a formula for happiness? Is it possible to live a worry-free life, if we were to follow Yogic teachings? What holds us back from finding happiness? What would one day of harmony be like? Let's look deeper into Yoga and discover proven methods for resolving life's daily problems.

Can Yoga reveal a formula for happiness? In a nutshell - the answer is "yes." The problem is that most people are looking for a fast solution. Yoga does not supply us with quick and temporary solutions. Yoga becomes the practitioner's lifestyle, because it is based upon 5,000 years of documentation and research.

In other words, one has to practice Yoga, for an extended time, before seeing the deeper results. How long will that be? It depends on the willingness of a practitioner to maintain a steady practice and the realistic tracking of results. Contrary to popular myths, lifestyle changes rarely happen in a day, week, or month.

Most often, the positive results of Yoga practice can be noticed in physical appearance, or behavior; but these are gradual changes. One book, DVD, class, or seminar may be the "seed of change," but it is daily practice, which creates changes that become easy to notice over time.

Is it possible to live a worry-free life if we were to follow Yogic teachings? Everyone experiences worry, but a Yogic lifestyle does reduce worry, stress, and anxiety. As humans, all of us experience the "ups and downs" of life. Yet, each of us learns how to manage stress, worry, anxiety, and anger - with the practice of Yoga techniques.

What would one day of harmony be like? If you cannot remember the last time you had a harmonious day, you should begin learning more about Yoga today. Obviously, life can be a "long and winding road," but each of us should become familiar with stress reduction methods. At the same time, each of us should become familiar with the many Yogic methods that bring about states of happiness and tranquility.

In Hatha Yoga, a practitioner may learn asanas, mantras, mudras, pranayama, meditation, and relaxation techniques. Each of the above-mentioned methods can be practiced for the purpose of reducing stress and creating states of tranquility. As an example: Most people are familiar with asanas (Yoga postures).

Whether you hold these postures for an extended amount of time, or you perform them in a sequence, you will release nervous energy from your body. All of us have nervous energy, but asana practice allows us to use it constructively.

Infertility Yoga - Boost Your Fertility and Get Pregnant With Infertility Yoga

Infertility yoga is a gentle way to enhance your fertility, while relaxing your mind and body and strengthening your reproductive organs. Yoga is an ancient tradition specifically practiced for general health and well-being and, it is particularly helpful for resolving difficulties with fertility and sexuality.

Yoga works with the mind and the body, relaxing the mind and exercising the body to bring balance to both. It can be effective for women with blocked fallopian tubes, hormone imbalances or other fertility challenges, and it is also helpful for helping women to relieve stress, relax and prepare mentally and physically for conception.

The yoga poses used in infertility yoga may appear to be predominantly for the female, but they are good for both partners, and it can be nice to do the exercises together. The poses focus mainly on the hips and pelvis where we support the physical body and hold the physical expression of emotion, both physical and mental tension. They will also help blood flow and balance the hormones.

Another aspect of infertility yoga is increasing the flow of oxygen and blood to the brain, as this is where the hypothalamus and pituitary gland are located. These two glands release hormones into the blood, so it is important to incorporate yoga poses that nourish these important glands, and improve the way they function.

Many couples are concerned that they will not be able to do any of the yoga exercises, as they have never done yoga before. You don't need to be as flexible as a yogi master to do infertility yoga. The exercises are very gentle and you should not force or push the body beyond your own limits. With repeated exercising, you will notice your flexibility will improve quite naturally.

Another concern is the cost. I would recommend you purchase a DVD that explains how do to the yoga positions, but apart from that, there's not much else you nee. All you need to perform these poses is a mat or rug, some loose comfortable clothing and a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. There is a Fertility Yoga DVD available to guide you through the movements, and plays beautiful relaxing music. If you don't have the DVD, some quiet, gentle music is optional.

Breathing is fundamental to yoga, as it helps you to relax, and increases the flow of oxygen into the body. So when practicing yoga, start breathing more deeply and slowly, and maintain this rhythm of breathing through out the session, as best you can. While you are lying there adjusting your breathing, mentally scan your body, releasing any tension by tensing and relaxing, particularly your anus and the reproductive area.

Kundalini Yoga Transformer All-In-One Workout ALL LEVELS Review

This is not a video for a neophyte. The following pertains to those desiring to begin a yoga practice; all others can disregard it. From a certain perspective, this is an excellent video, for it stimulated me enough to write a review. The grain of sand that irritates an oyster to produce a pearl. This video is so bad, it's good. Surreal? Unreal? How does one adequately describe the ineffable? An emaciated chick with artificial hair color in front of an artificial (traveling matte) set, with a disembodied voice giving meditation instructions following drumbeats? The pulse of IT in A Wrinkle In Time?

First of all, you must ask yourself why you are even contemplating this video. Higher consciousness? Fitness? Well-being? Personal development? Why kundalini yoga in particular? What is its history? Who developed it and why? What prerequisites, soul qualities, seriousness or sense of holiness are demanded of the practitioner? Watch the following video, substituting Yoga for Karate:

[...]

Do you think this person can truly help you reach your goals?:

[...]

Dangerous? A glass of water can quench thirst. A pond can drown. Don't let your mind be squished like a grape. What is kundalini syndrome? Can it be precipitated by performing the Born Free sequence whereby one dredges up all of one's negativity and anger?:
[...]

The traditional yogi path requires a guru or master so as to avoid entanglements, hindrances, and negative side-effects--so that you don't wind up in a mental institution because your birth into higher worlds has gone awry--so that one undergoes wholesome development rather than becoming a thing misborn. Is it true that thousands of years of empiric experience dealing with the powerful forces unleashed can be bypassed?:

[...]

Notice that Mr. Singh does actually stipulate that one be conscious--or at least have the desire to be so. While it is true that Kali Yuga ended in 1899, the vernal equinox is still in the sign of the Fish, not the Water Bearer. The book I AM THAT by Nisargadatta would be helpful to the reader to understand the full import of what is implied by this statement that one be conscious.

Whom do you trust with your body, soul, and spirit? For me, it would have to be someone like this:
[...]

If you're an above-average American desiring fitness and well-being, buy the P90x video series. It contains a yoga video and a stretching video (basically a yoga primer), and virtually all of the remaining discs contain some element of yoga--that's the system's secret. If you are looking for a starter video on yoga, buy a Sarah Ivanhoe video. If you really want to learn about yoga, though, pursuing it because you recognize its life-sustaining character, read the book Yoga and Health by Yesudian, available used as a hardback, or newly released paperback from Harmony Publishing, Edinburgh. If you desire to expand your consciousness, then familiarize yourself with Raja Yoga

[...]
or

[...]

Having done that, if you are of the West, read the book Enlivening the Chakra of the Heart, which addresses the Eastern practice of raising kundalini from below upwards in contrast to the Western practice of above downwards, comparing it with what you have learned about self-control; and then--and only then--determine if you are ready for kundalini yoga. You might start by watching the following video (It's FREE!):

[...]

Then buy this video, if you are curious.

Also buy a good mat. In life, you get what you pay for. Manduka black mat pros are excellent, particularly when combined with a mat towel. And remember, you are what you do. Have Patience. Be Calm. Maintain Strength in the Quiet. Let the Force Flow. Best of luck.
Namaste.

I have tried all types of yoga - Marie Gonzalez - Tucson, AZ
None have ever measured up to the incredible results I get from my Kundalini Yoga practice. People ask me constantly for my beauty/ workout secrets. This is it! I do a Kundalini Yoga workout and I am thinner, younger, better rested, and at peace with the world. I love Ana Brett & Ravi Singh! They are the King and Queen of Kundalini Yoga workouts. These latest DVDs are my new secret weapons. Transformer is the perfect title fo rthis because it's literally transforming my life!

Another blissful DVD from Ravi and Ana - Leanne - San Diego, CA
This is my fifth DVD from Ravi and Ana, but it's the first one I've bought from the new series that they've put out from 2009-2010. I almost didn't buy it because I've seen so many negative comments about the new look of these more recent workouts. I actually love the new backdrop; yes, it's fake, but it's so bright and cheerful to look at, and I enjoy looking at it. Ana also looks as radiant as always, and she brings her usual grace to this new workout.

I've had this DVD for a few months now, but wanted to wait to write a review so I could use it more and comment on it. Several other people have broken down the various sequences, so I will just add that the Matrix and Premix options are great, as usual. There are five premixes, ranging from 35 minutes to 60 minutes, so you can fit in some transformative yoga even when you have little time.

The Gobinday chant is one of the highlights of this DVD for me. The first time doing it, I felt a little silly, but now I look forward to it and the lovely feeling it imparts.

I also wanted to add that this DVD doesn't feel quite as strenuous to me as some of their other videos. If you're looking for more of a "workout" video, then perhaps you could try their Fat Free Yoga or Kundalini Yoga for Beginners. This one, however, really does energize me and fill me with positive energy, which was exactly what I was hoping it would do!

Great new Kundalini Yoga Workout - Dwayne Forrest - Bar Harbor, ME
Yoga , to me, is about movement, freeing energy flows in my body, getting centered, and quieting my mind chatter. Any of Ana & Ravis DVDs do this perfectly but Transformer takes it to a whole other level! The exercises are easy to do but challenging and you will work areas of the body you don't usually work to get into "the pain of the past" and purify it. I feel like I had a year of pschycotherapy after I am done - blissed and free!

I would highly recommend this DVD to anyone of any level wanting an energizing and effective practice.

What is continually amazing to me? In spite of making at least 20 Kundalini yoga DVDs, Ravi and Ana manage to come up with new sets!

Check Out Kabbalah Yoga - Ambitious Beginners

Kabbalah Yoga - Ambitious Beginners Review

This is set just like their Attainable Advanced.
Menu: Play, In Spanish & Bonus Asanas
This is set in a small stage w/Ariella leading & 2 other woman & one man (Diego) all doing the poses at the same time. Each have their own limitations & Diego shows the most modified. Ariella is young, but is very good, she looks at her toes during boat & she can do the wheel with holding her angles, etc. with amazing flexibility. It is all narrated by a calming, but not boring female voice, telling you all the English pose names as well as shown on the screen. Unlike the Attainable Advanced of this set, this has NO body instructions which is unusual. She tells you the name of the English only names of the poses, says it again & "other side" & then the name of the next pose which is when the others are doing it as well.. "Yoga means union... Kabbalah yoga symbolically disconnects the the mind, body, spirit connection in order to reveal & examine our imbalances... thread the needle, other side... we now have the opportunity to restore, renew, rebalanced, but most important, reunite. Now the body becomes a more hospitable host for our spirit...... Kabbalah yoga teaches that the poses in between the poses, are just as important as the pose you're going into. Make this pose your sacred place of inner peace." There are occasionally cues on when to breath, mostly during sun salutations. And yes, it's good to see they take time to thoughtfully go in/out of each pose w/o hurrying through.

There is a 10 minute advanced asanas section of Ariella showing postures slowly like the handstand, tripod handstand, forearm stand, drop-back back bend, wide legged fwd bend into a tripod handstand & hand balancing w/legs pressing into arms (more challenging kinda crow) w/assistance & without. This is the exact one that's on the Attainable Advanced.

This 38 min workout has a beautiful song playing, light-hearted, but calming, positive feel. The poses include:
Chanting Shalom 3x, easy twist w/hand on opposite thigh, cat/cow, table, balance table, thread the needle, plank pose, upward dog, downward facing dog, downward dog opposite hand grabbing ankle, dolphin (down dog hip posture), forearm plank (held for a short time), upward dog, down dog, chair, standing fwd bend, plank, upward dog, downward facing dog, standing split w/twist, down dog, standing split other side, down dog, warrior 1, warrior 2, yoga mudra warrior (warrior legs, lean head to ground with front leg in 90 angle & arms stretched behind), warrior 1, plank, upward dog, down dog, (same thing on other side), extended side angle, lung w/prayer twist, down dog, (repeat on other side), star (only side plank here), (other side), down dog, triangle, half moon, triangle, down dog, (repeat on other side), wide legged fwd bend, wide legged triangle twist, (other side), pyramid (head to knee w/prayer hands behind back), tree, other side, prayer squat, crow (should not be attempted unless have had detailed instruction), cobbler's/butterfly, balancing bear (wide legged boat), boat, 1 legged sitting fwd bend, 1 legged wide angle seated side bend, half upward boat (holding 1 foot in air), seated spinal twist, staff pose, seated straight leg fwd bend, Eastern plank (sitting, then arms behind you raise torso), up dog, down dog, (other side), 3 legged down dog, pigeon, downward dog, (other side), reclined knee to chest, bridge, wheel (should not be attempted w/o detailed instruction), lying knees to chest, plow, shoulder stand, shoulder stand w/bottoms of feet touching, plow, boat prep (spread legs), boat, reclined spinal twist one knee cross over , other side, roll up, sitting & prayer hands for different parts of body & the Hebrew? name for it & savasana, "Now you are exquisitely exhausted, enough to surrender into stillness. The harder you worked, the easier it is to become still. You feel you deserve it..." which lasts 2 minutes. This part has a little bit of a man chanting for a few seconds which felt unusual to me & then goes into a different light calming, but not boring song.

The words said are non-religion spiritual. Just empowering/encouraging you to be more aware of the spirit, kind to yourself, others, take time to enjoy life, etc. Thoughts/opinions almost all religions are agree on. I enjoyed this because of the song, the good voice over, but more importantly, the style/intention. They are elegant during, in & out of the poses with intention. It's held long enough that you can feel the stretch which is about 6 breaths? but also not so long that you are not bored & wondering what time it is. I'm not happy as this is I got after the Attainable Advanced, this is the exact same flow, except much less 1/2 sun salutations & same poses but sometimes just less advanced form. That's what Diago was for in the advanced version.
This is NOT for beginners who don't already know all these poses by name & how to so it properly & have been practicing for a while. IF you had to choose one, I'd suggest the Attainable Advanced if you can deal with a longer session w/more 1/2 sun salutations in between. Check Kabbalah Yoga - Attainable Advanced for my review with all the poses.

Love this DVD - A. Brown -
I really enjoy this yoga DVD. It's the closest to the kind of practice that I like to do every day - especially since I do not like flow yoga. Although I do have years of experience with yoga I found that this DVD was advanced enough to challenge intermediate folks while having enough easy stuff to be good for beginners with some experience. I also find the soundtrack to be very soothing and ethereal. Definitely recommended!

Really good. - Kimberly D. Keane - United States
This isn't an in-depth Kabbalah teaching video, obviously. But it's not supposed to be. And the narrator could do a tad better in keeping in synch with the students, but overall, it's a good workout, and isn't all that difficult. Most of the poses are traditional asanas and the yoga master on the video does a modified version for those not familiar or able to do them right away.

It's a nice blend of yoga and Kabbalah, and a relaxing, yet thorough workout.

Best Yoga Video I Own - Aphrodite - Wisconsin
I own approximately 100 yoga videos and this is my favorite. It is really not a beginner video because there is little instruction for the poses. It is more an intermediate level which is why I like it. This is a program for people who are not beginners and not advanced (I am not very flexible so cannot do a lot of the advanced videos out there, I am also middle aged). This is just the right length - about 40 minutes and the poses flow from one to the other. The mind body connection that is essential to yoga is present throughout this program. I am sick of lightening fast sun salutations or holding downward dog for 5 minutes like you find on so many videos. This program has no sun salutations and all of the postures show modifications if you need them. I also own the advanced kabbalah program which is very similar to the beginners except it moves a little faster and they incorporate the plank, upward dog, downward dog transition quite frequently. I will occassionally do the advanced, but the beginner is my favorite. In my opinion, this is the perfect yoga video for the intermediate practitioner.

Yoga Guided Meditation Options to Begin

Many people find that doing yoga a few times a week enables them to keep themselves in shape, as well as improve their flexibility over time. If you want an exercise that helps you relax, meditation is the ideal relaxation technique. You can do it at your own pace and in the privacy of your own home even. If you decide to do it, it's a good idea to get started with yoga guided meditation.

However, it can get a bit daunting to find the right one because there are basically many choices available. The key to finding the perfect guided session for you is to take some time considering your options instead of opting right away for the first one that comes your way.

There are many sources out there so how do you know which one is the perfect one for you? It all depends on your comfort level, as well as how much money you're willing to spend. Keep in mind that some options are more expensive than others. It's also good to remember that old adage, "You get what you pay for" as it often holds true in the case of guided meditations. There are people who prefer those whose focus is primarily on meditation and then there are others who prefer types that involves various different stretches, providing whole body toning after every session.

A very effective yoga guided meditation option is hiring a professional personal trainer who can show you and help you execute the different yoga poses. A professional trainer can customize a session that exactly fits your needs. He will also devote time exclusively to you to teach you how to execute each yoga pose correctly so you can get the most out of every session. Unfortunately, this option is also very expensive. Most professional trainers are charging by the hour. If you decide to go with this option, you'll want to make sure you get right down to business during every session.

If you already are a member of gym or fitness center in your area, check to see if there are any professional trainers at your gym who conduct yoga guided meditation classes. Many gyms today include free classes to their members as part of their membership. While you can't get a customized session this way, you can still learn the basic yoga poses and how to execute them properly. Once you learn the yoga poses from these classes, you can do them at home whenever you have time.

If you don't have a gym membership or if you aren't really comfortable signing up for and participating in a yoga class, a yoga guided meditation option for you is a yoga meditation DVD. There are many such DVDs available today both online and offline. These DVDs can help you learn the proper techniques in the privacy of your own home and at your own time. You can modify the techniques found in yoga guided meditation DVDs so they're easier and more comfortable for you to do, as well as fit your specific needs.

Yoga Equipment

Yoga is a gentle exercise that can help align the body, ease the mind, and restore a sense of balance and wholeness to your life. Best of all, unlike other forms of exercise like weight-lifting, yoga equipment is relatively simple and inexpensive.

You don't need special shoes as most people perform yoga barefoot. For clothing, a pair of shorts and a slightly fitted shirt will take care of the apparel you need. One essential piece of yoga equipment you'll need is a yoga sticky mat. A yoga sticky mat gives your hands and feet some traction and allows you to assume the different postures without fear of slipping and sliding.

As you work out, the mat will probably get soiled with sweat. You can clean most mats with a mixture of water and vinegar. Vinegar is a great low-cost natural cleaning ingredient that kills mold and bacteria. Another piece of yoga equipment is the yoga ball which is used to give you extra support as you assume certain postures such as the backbend. They can also be used as chairs-used in this way, they enhance balance.

Depending on which postures you will be practicing, you may also want to consider getting yoga blankets, blocks, and straps for further support for your head, neck, arms, and back. A book or DVD is helpful for beginners. Even if you're taking a yoga glass, it'll be nice to have a reference at home for various postures.

Yoga provides many benefits for very little financial investment. With a relatively minor expenditure, you can quickly be on your way to a healthier you.

Baron Baptiste's Power Yoga Level 2 Review

I have all three of the Baron Baptiste Power yoga DVD's. I especially love the Level 1 and Level 2 DVDs. The initial Challange is a great all body workout and is only 45 minutes which makes it easy to fit into a busy schedule. "The next Challange", level 2 is 90 minutes and is similar to a "hot yoga" studio workout. I love these DVD's so much I have several sets that So I can have access to these workouts wherever I go. I have also recommended these videos to numerous friends. I think these yoga workouts are every bit as good a work out as going to a Yoga studio with the benifit of never leaving your home.

I really like this DVD. The routine is very similar to the yoga studios that I prefer. However, it is very long and I usually choose it when I don't have 1-2 hours to dedicate to a real yoga class. I would give it 5 stars but I wish that I could skip through the beginning and turn down the lame music.

I would not recommend this for a beginner. Viewers should be familiar w/ all the vinyasa/ashtanga poses. I highly recommend beginning at a studio w/ an experienced teacher that can adjust your form for the safest, most efficient stretches. Otherwise, you could seriously hurt yourself.

Not his best - Connie Pease - Latham, Il
I was very dissappointed with this tape, this was not the power yoga I was looking for. Pretty boring, sorry.

Yoga Silk Eye Pillows

Despite what some non-practitioners might think, yoga focuses on both the body and the mind at once. Often times causing whoever adopts yoga as a way of life, to become more concerned with their body's well being. Of which gives you an edge in keeping sane within a stressful world. While you are able to de-stress without props or added help, it never hurts to have a helping hand when trying to keep yourself sane.

One of the most popular relaxing objects around these days is still the silk eye pillow. While they have been used for many years, they are now making a huge comeback in the world of yoga. While some are simply used to block out the light, others are lightly scented for aroma therapy. The aroma-therapy silk pillows are often times used as a holistic healing method. Offering you the ability to simply melt away the concerns of modern living with the calming and realigning nature of the silk eye pillow.

Whether they are treated with the sweet scent of chamomile or lavender, they are utilized to refresh your soul. However, some retailers offer them in a wider variety of aroma-therapy scents than simply lavender. Another of the most popular scents is peppermint to refresh your senses.

However if you are sensitive to aroma therapy you may wish to obtain a silk eye pillow that isn't scented. All of which are available at holistic retailers such as this one. One thing that they all have in common is the way that they are made. While they can be found in several different refreshing colors, most of them are subdued to invite the sensuality of darkness.

All silk eye pillows can be found filled lightly with flax seed. Of which will help it to relax into the contours of your eyes; caressing your skin and allowing you to relieve stress. It isn't used just for napping anymore. It can be used to help reduce your stress even during meditation. Especially since most people tend to meditate before the wee-hours of the night. Giving the much-needed darkness to truly clear your mind of every-day stressors.

Some people make the mistake in thinking that silk eye pillows are just for adults. Quite on the contrary! As there are many younger yoga practitioners, they can also benefit from silk eye pillows.

Advanced Yoga DVD Time?

When the time comes to invest in an advanced yoga DVD, get two. Choose one advanced yoga DVD that elevates your practice. Then, choose a second advanced yoga DVD that perfects your practice in your yoga style of choice or offers excellent instruction in the spiritual aspects of yoga training.

Are you ready to advance?
Your body and mind will tell you when it is time to graduate from your beginner yoga DVD to something more advanced. They will send both good news and bad news.

Relaying the good news, your body and mind will alert you that yoga practice has become an essential element in your daily routine: If you miss a practice, you genuinely will experience symptoms of withdrawal-mild depression, irritability, and frustration.

You are not imagining these symptoms; they are real. Your body has become dependent on its own endorphins, your feel-good bio-chemicals. When your synapses do not receive their daily dose of feel-good, they send unmistakable signals of their deprivation. When sports psychologists talk about "a positive addiction," they allude to this phenomenon.

Sending you a quirky and paradoxical version of the good news, your body and mind will alert you that the poses and progressions no longer challenge you. Everything has become predictable, relatively easy and effortless. You sometimes "phone in" your practices instead of fully engaging. Therefore, you do not get the same great workout or the same beneficial meditation. Most of all, though, your body and brain will signal just one urgent message: Bored!

Advance. Specialize. Sophisticate.
Taking your practice "up a notch or two" immediately will break through your boredom. Choose an advanced yoga DVD that introduces more difficult, more complicated poses. Choose the one that challenges you to stretch further, hold the asanas longer, move more gracefully from pose to pose, and pay attention to form, discipline, and grace with every move you make.

Naturally, an advanced yoga DVD increases the physical challenge in your practice. When you choose an advanced yoga DVD in your favorite style, it also will increase the emotional, psychological, and spiritual elements in your practice. You learn what it means to discipline the body for the sake of progressing toward enlightenment. The best advanced yoga DVDs increase their emphasis on higher consciousness, the "true" objective of your practice. More complicated poses ought to yield deeper awareness and draw you closer to union with The Divine and Eternal.

Your New Yoga Trainer - Wii Fit

I used to live in New York City and I used to go to some great local yoga classes that were included with my gym membership. I grew to really love yoga. Not only did it help me to achieve a very high level of fitness, it also became something that I really enjoyed doing.

But then I moved out to "the country" and there's no yoga classes to go to here. I tried using some Yoga DVDs as a replacement but I didn't find them very appealing as they lacked the interactivity that I was looking for.

When I heard that the Wii Fit game included yoga training I figured I absolutely had to try it out. Of course I went everywhere looking for a Wii Fit game for my Wii system and I couldn't find it anywhere. I was about to give up when I realized that I could probably buy it online which of course I could so I bought it online and started using it a few weeks ago.

Wii Fit doesn't have just yoga, it also has strength training, aerobics, and balance games and I use all of those as well but of course it's the yoga training that I'm most interested in. I've been using it every day since I got it for at least 30 minutes. I actually find it almost addictive. It's a great challenge to try to perfect my pose (and my balance) for each of the yoga poses (and there's every yoga pose I've ever heard of included.) The game keeps track of how balanced I am for each pose which adds a nice bit of interactivity that was missing from the DVDs.

It's definitely been a great thing to be able to do yoga again. Not only am I enjoying it a lot but I'm also seeing great results physically. On top of that I've realized that it's actually far less expensive than a gym membership or paying for yoga classes. With this you just buy the game once and you can use it as much as you want forever.

Check Out A Child's Way to Yoga for $12.99

A Child's Way to Yoga Review

We got this for my son's fourth birthday. He and his older brother can at least make a good approximation of all of the poses and have a fun time doing it. At least one of them asks to do it daily. Even their baby brother (15 months) seems interested. I really like the background. It looks like they are on a farm. They are all in a big field, outside and it is very casual and relaxed. The songs are upbeat without being annoying or over-loud and distracting. The instructor makes it fun and I like the assortment of kids in the background, each interpreting the yoga moves their own way -- that shows that there are many ways to do the positions.

A Child's Way to Yoga - Kerin L. Slattery -
I teach Kindergarten and use the Yoga video to help them relax after lunch. It is fabulous and the kids LOVE it!!

Sweet and Wonderful - Wendy Louise Nag - Minneapolis, MN
Our 2 year old daughter loves this video. She figured out how to do all of the poses without any instruction from us because the instructor is so clear and simple. The setting is in a grassy park, and the home-spun music is so perfect and non-commercial. Leanne has a life-loving glow about her that makes you smile. It feels like how yoga should be. Not in a fancy studio with music that fades in and out, but just simple. The conversion of yoga poses to animal activities is wonderful. Our 8 month old son loves LeAnne, and his face turns to joy when she introduces herself.

Lacks pizazz - E. Harrell -
The video is basically watching a yoga class for kids who are in a field of a park. The teacher does talk directly to the camera, with some nice close-ups, but otherwise it often feels amateurish. The music that they tout is just a woman singing with a guitar, and it's so soft that it's overpowered by the kids' giggles in the video. And the music is not a motivating factor, instead it's more background noise. Although I wasn't impressed with it, my son (who is 6) chooses it over "Silly to Calm," which is what I like better (it's more professional, and the visuals and music are more dynamic). But I think he likes this one because at one point they pretend to drive in a car, and he also likes the Dead Man's pose. (My daughter, who is 4, seems to be able to stick more with "Silly to Calm") Since I bought it for the kids, it's not a total failure, I just wished it was more pleasing to me!
